Role: Brand Alchemist & UX Strategist
Client: Tulare Youth Alliance
Location: Tulare County, CA
Archetype: The Guardian — protector of purpose, steward of story

✨ Challenge
Tulare Youth Alliance, a nonprofit serving underserved youth in the Central Valley, had an outdated website, fragmented messaging, and low volunteer engagement. Their digital presence didn’t reflect the heart of their mission or the trust they’d built in the community.
🔮 Vision
I stepped in as a Community Guardian—ritualizing their brand into a safe, empowering space. My goal was to protect their purpose, amplify their story, and create a digital sanctuary for volunteers, donors, and families.
🧩 Strategy & Solutions
- Archetype-Driven Branding: Reimagined their identity using the Guardian archetype—earthy tones, shield motifs, and language that evokes safety and empowerment.
- Intuitive UX: Designed a volunteer and donor flow that feels like a guided ritual—clear, welcoming, and low-friction.
- Visual Storytelling: Created storytelling cards featuring youth success stories, community impact stats, and legacy milestones.
- Technical Empowerment: Integrated anti-spam protections, simplified backend tools, and trained staff in ritualized content updates.
- Copywriting with Heart: Drafted warm, clear messaging that honors their legacy while inviting new allies into the fold.
🌱 Outcome
- 3× increase in volunteer sign-ups within the first quarter
- 2× donor engagement through storytelling campaigns
- Staff reported feeling “seen” and “supported” by the new backend system
- Community members described the site as “safe,” “hopeful,” and “easy to navigate”
🧿 Rituals & Reflections
This project reminded me that design isn’t just about pixels—it’s about protection, empowerment, and trust. When nonprofits feel held by their digital presence, they can focus on what matters most: serving their community.
